I have applied for the post of Constable GD (Male or Female) but I have not received my admit card yet. What should I do? Please contact the General Helpline numbers to know the status of your admit card. In case you did not meet the eligibility conditions or had not submitted the required amount along with your application form your application is liable to be rejected and you will not be issued an admit card. My admit card displays my Name/Father’s Name/Address/Date of Birth, etc incorrectly. What should I do? On the scheduled date given in your admit card report to the Presiding officer of your Recruitment center with the proof of your correct Name, Father’s name, Address, Date of Birth, etc (in original) along with the same photo that you had sent with the application form. You may also submit a written request using the Complaints webpage. My admit card does not indicate the address of the Recruitment center. What should I do? The address of your Recruitment center can be confirmed from the General Helpline numbers. I have received my admit card but it does not have my photo or the photo is missing. What should I do? On the scheduled date given in your admit card report to the Presiding officer of your Recruitment center with the same photo that you had sent along with your application form. My admit card is torn or accidentally got torn. What should I do? You should report to the Presiding officer of your Recruitment center on the scheduled date with the torn admit card, your documents in original to establish your identity and the same photo that you had sent with the application form. Are there any reserved vacancies for SSB Wards? No. All the SSB Wards have to compete with other candidates as per the advertised vacancies. Is there any grace marks awarded to SSB Wards in written examination. No grace marks will be awarded to SSB Wards. Minimum Qualifying marks for SSB Wards is also same as like other candidates. What documents should I bring for the recruitment? You are required to bring in original and one attested copy of your educational qualifications, proof of date of birth, SC/ST/OBC certificate as per proforma of the Government of India, domicile certificate and residential address proof. Is it possible to change my exam date? You will have to appear on the day and time given in your admit card, failing which you will be marked absent. Is it possible to change my exam venue? No. You will have to appear at the venue given in your admit card and on the given date and time, failing which you will be marked absent. What is meant by proportionate weight? As per medical science the weight of physically fit person is calculated on the basis of a formula taking into consideration the person’s height and age. In case your weight is not proportionate you will be disqualified. Is there a relaxation of age for any particular race, caste or religion? Is there any relaxation in height, chest or weight for any particular race, caste or religion? As you have failed to appear on the scheduled day you have been marked absent. If the recruitment process has not finished in your recruitment center please approach the Presiding officer stating valid reasons. It is the discretion of the Presiding officer to allow you to appear on another date. Where can I register a complaint? Candidates who have been issued an admit card can register complaints using the Complaints webpage or the General Helpline numbers. Other persons to please lodge complaint using the General Helpline numbers only. What are the passing marks in the various tests? All tests upto Physical Standards Test (PST) are only qualifying in nature and carry no marks for Constable (GD). Written test will be of 100 marks and have 100 objective type multiple choice questions to be answered in 2 hours. The passing marks in the written test will be as follows: For General candidates and Ex-servicemen - 35 per cent. For SC/ST/OBC candidates - 33 per cent. Will there be any interview? No. There will be no interview at any stage for Constable (GD). When will written test be conducted? The date of written test will be conveyed to those candidates ho clear 5Km Race, Documentation, Physical Standards Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) in due course of time. When will the results of the various tests are announced? Those who do not qualify any event of the 5Km Race, Documentation, PST and PET will be given a rejection slip on the spot, and those who qualify will be intimated about the time of the written test in due course of time. The results of the written test (merit list) will be announced within 10 days after written examination. The same will be displayed on the website and at the recruitment centers. What is the process after the declaration of the merit list? Those candidates who come in the merit list ( Number of vacancies X average failure rate in final medical examination as per past experience) will be asked to appear for final medical examination. How can I know whether I have qualified written test to appear for medical examination? The list of candidates who have qualified written test to appear for medical examination will be displayed on the notice board of Recruitment Board preferably with in a week time from the date of written examination and will also be displayed in SSB Recruitment Web Site simultaneously. The candidate may also enquiry from the help line numbers. No separate admit card\ invitation letter will be issued. Details may also be enquiry from chairman Requirement Board. What is re-medical? What is the procedure of re-medical? Any candidate who is found unfit in the final medical examination and not satisfied with the findings of the recruitment board can request for a re-medical within 15 days by obtaining Form-4, 5&6 from the Presiding Officer/ Chairman of the Recruitment Board. Candidates can make an application to the Inspector General (Pers), FHQ, R.K.Puram, New Delhi -110066 along with Demand Draft of Rs. 25/- in favour of “Accounts Officer, S). Candidates must send Form-4,5&6 duly completed along with Demand Draft amounting of 25/- and one self addressed envelope for considering appeal for re-medical examination. In how many days result will be declared? Result will be declared within 45 days after completion of Review Medical Examination. When will I receive appointment letter? After you have cleared all stages of recruitment including final medical examination/ review medical examination and find place in merit list on the basis of vacancies, you will receive your appointment letter in due course of time.
