General Guidelines to candidates for Constable (GD)
Helpline:
The helpline services will be available in all the working days (Monday to Friday)
in working hours.
SMS:
SMS information will be sent to those candidates who have provided mobile numbers
in application form. The SMS will be sent to inform candidates about:-
(i) Information on helpline numbers; (ii) Date of start of recruitment drive; (iii)
Date of written test; (iv) Documents that the candidate has to bring to recruitment
center; (v) Date of medical test; etc
Other General instructions:
i) Candidates should come duly prepared for 6-7 days stay under their own arrangements
at the Recruiting Centre.
ii) SSB shall not be responsible for damage/injury, if any, to the individual sustained
during the Physical Efficiency Test.
iii) Candidates shall have to bring with them pen/pencil, ink, clip board for written
test. Note: Candidates must bring a clip board for written test
as plain surface will be required to fill up OMR sheet properly.
iv) The written test will be on OMR (optical mark recognition) based question paper.
Questions will be multiple choice objective type. The candidate shall use black
or blue ball point pen to darken the circle of correct option.
v) Candidates should bring with them documents in original along with an attested
photocopy of each document and latest passport size photographs. The details of
documents are available in website and advertisement.
Candidates are required to bring following certificates in original and one set
attested photocopy to the recruitment center without fail:
(i) Educational certificates
(ii) Proof of Date of Birth
(iii) SC/ST/OBC certificate
(iv) Domicile certificate
(v) Discharge certificate in case of Ex-servicemen
Guidelines for candidates regarding Race:-
All candidates have to qualify Physical Efficiency Test as mentioned in the advertisement
(1) All candidates are advised to regularly practice for race so that at last moment
they do not face any physical or medical problem.
(2) The race will be conducted early in the morning. However, keeping in mind relatively
higher temperature during summer, all candidates are advised to keep their own physical
stamina, endurance in mind while running. Thus at any point of time if they feel
any uneasiness like giddiness, vomiting, etc. they should immediately stop running
and seek medical help.
(3) Candidates are advised to pour some water on their head and body at turning
point to maintain proper body temperature.
(4) Please do not over exert.
Note: SSB will not be responsible for any injury or loss of life during the race
or any other activity undertaken as part of the recruitment process.
